Bibliografía de propiedades Inmunomoduladoras y Antioxidativas

Se ha comentado previamente que a estas dos propiedades se puede atribuir los efectos sobre el incremento de la longevidad y el aumento de las defensas orgánicas. También a estas dos acciones podrán arrogarse (como puede comprobarse en algunos apartados) otros efectos beneficiosos. Algunos estudios se han ocupado de estos dos efectos de modo general. Como es el caso de los efectos antioxidantes1-3 probados incluso en humanos4 en quienes se comprobó que además no tenía efectos indeseables.

Las propiedades sobre el sistema inmunitario orgánico se expresan mediante múltiples mecanismos: sobre la producción de anticuerpos, la estimulación de las diversas subpoblaciones de linfocitos, las distintas interleukinas, el interferón gamma, el factor nuclear kappaB y otros 4-17.
